Week two of the XFL season kicks off Thursday night with a game between the St. Louis Battlehawks and the Seattle Sea Dragons. Aside from having way cooler team names, the XFL’s rules are also much different from the NFL, which is what allowed the Battlehawks to come back from a 15-3 deficit with only three minutes left in the game to beat the San Antonio Brahmas last week, led mainly by a Hakeem Butler touchdown that brought the game within winning range.

The Sea Dragons didn’t fare quite as well as they were on the other end of the spectrum when they lost an 18-8 third-quarter lead to lose to the DC Defenders. Former TikTok meme and one-time Cowboys quarterback BEN DINUCCI threw a couple of costly interceptions that allowed the Defenders to sneak through with a win.

Led by Josh Gordon and DiNucci, the Sea Dragons sit as favorites, with Jim Halsett leading the team into their week two matchup. Hakeem Butler, formerly of the Panthers and Eagles, along with head coach Anthony Becht and Alabama alum A.J. McCarron at QB, despite being underdogs, make up a strong team that showed the capability to come from behind and score when it counted last week.

Despite that team strength, though, DiNucci is much more settled into the season after his trials last week, and without those costly interceptions, it will be enough to connect with Gordon more than a few times to take the victory against St. Louis. There’s too much talent on that team to lose another one late in the game, and they’ll score early, just as they did last week. Take the money line on the Seattle Sea Dragons and get $200 if you pick the winner!
