This is a true clash of storied franchises. Both teams have too many appearances in the semi-finals and finals of March Madness; both teams look to be the best team night in and night out in NCAA, but only one can win. So which one is it, you might ask? Well, that’s easy, Virginia.

North Carolina does not scare anyone this season. I’m sorry, but when you lose four games in a row to Iowa State, Alabama, Indiana, and then Virginia Tech, that’ll tend to happen. And yes, that was a little while ago at this point, but the damage was done. I mean, UNC isn’t even ranked this season. I don’t know when the last time that happened was. I mean, Armando Bacot is averaging a double-double which is pretty awesome, but besides that, I don’t really know what this team has going for it. This team just does not know how to pass or play as a team at all, so all season, it’s basically been seeing how far Armando can take them. Turns out not incredibly far.

Virginia, on the other hand, has been nothing but lights out this season. They’re ranked 11th in the country right now, and for a good reason. Their worse loss this season has come against 5th-ranked Houston, and it was only an eight-point loss. That’s pretty incredible. Do you know who else has been incredible? Kihei Clark. He’s leading Virginia in points per game, assists per game, and steals per game. That’s all while shooting over 40% from the field overall and from three. Not much you can complain about when a player is putting up those numbers. In fact, all of Virginia’s top five scorers have been shooting over 40% from the field this season. This efficiency of point scoring is their most deadly weapon, and boy, does it work.

Virginia will beat the Tar Heels, don’t overthink it. Bet on Virginia’s moneyline and get your extra $200 if Virginia wins.
