It’s the Commonwealth Clash as the 10th ranked Virginia Cavaliers host the Virginia Tech Hokies. Here’s what you need to know to make the most out of this sweet offer from Sports Illustrated.

Virginia Tech has been solid, except in conference play. They’re 10 and 1 outside their conference and started 11-1 before dropping their last five. Despite their struggles, they have pretty solid numbers. The Hokies average 74.2 points a game on 46.4% from the field. They’re also doing a great job at limiting turnovers, ranking 13th in D1 hoops. Sean Pedulla has been lighting it up, leading the team in points and assists, averaging 16.8 and 4.4 a game, respectively. Personally, I think this game will be closer than people expect, but who will win? We’ll get to that in a second.

Now Virginia is number 10 for a reason, as they’ve been one of the best all-around teams in the NCAA this season. They’re 13-3 and 5-2 in conference play, and 8 of those 13 wins have been at home. They defend their home turf like a Polar Bear. Virginia Tech, on the other hand, has been awful on the road; they still haven’t won and are sitting 0-4. The Cavalier offense has been more balanced than a tightrope walker, with 3 players averaging double digit points with another at 9.9. Defensively, UVA allows 6th fewer points and is 30 places higher than the Hokies in defensive rating. I think they’re by far the complete team, and while this game is always a battle and very emotional as rivalries are, I think the Cavaliers will come out on top and take the home win.

What even is a Hokie? I like Virginia. Bet on Virginia’s moneyline and get your $200 if you pick the winner.
