The Dallas Cowboys took down the GOAT on Primetime this past Monday Night to move onto the Divisional Round of the 2022 NFL Playoffs against Brock “Mr. Irrelevant” Purdy and the rest of the stacked 49ers team. Dak Prescott looked significantly better than he has recently in the game against Tampa Bay, throwing for 305 yards and four touchdowns without a single interception. The Cowboys won pretty easily against Tampa Bay, well, except for the absolute monstrosity of a performance from kicker Brett Maher, who missed not one, not two, not three, but FOUR PATs against Tampa Bay. Four extra points. I’ll just leave that there. On the San Francisco side, the 49ers won 41-23 against Seattle. After a tight first half and down one going into the third quarter, they won pretty easily as the Seahawks were held to just 6 points in the second half. The Niners are absolutely scary. Despite being out of their starting and backup quarterbacks, they have found an absolute gem in Brock Purdy, who threw for 332 yards, three passing touchdowns, and one TD on the ground. With Kittle, Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, and McCaffrey as weapons, a good defense, and a great O-Line, there are almost no holes in this squad. It’s going to be a tough task for Dallas this week.
As of now, Vegas has the line for this game set in favor of the 49ers at -3.5, which is slightly frightening when you consider all the hype that’s been going around San Francisco, especially as hit or miss as Dallas was at the end of the season. With that being said, though, Dak’s troubles seemed to be a thing of the past as he blew out Tom Brady in the playoffs, which is something that not many people can say. Even with a fully functioning Cowboys squad, though (that includes you, too, Brett Maher), Dallas doesn’t have what it takes to beat San Francisco. With the line where it is, it feels like they’ll keep it a lot closer than any of us are expecting and most likely cover the spread, but when you look at all the absolute beasts out on the field at any time for the 49ers, it just seems impossible for them to lose to Dallas this week. The only weak spot would be their QB… except for the fact that Brock Purdy has been UNBELIEVABLE since taking the reins. Take the 49ers to beat the Cowboys and get your $150 back instantly.
