After a shaky start last weekend the 0-1 University of Colorado Buffaloes will be hitting the road this week to take on the 1-0 Air Force. Here’s what you need to know in the battle of 351 and 352.
Last weekend Air Force came out to a start hotter than Zach Wilson’s mom’s friend, rushing for almost 600 yards and five touchdowns last week. While they let up a decent amount of yards, their red zone defense proved to be solid and they only let up 17 points. Their ground and pound offense proved to be too much for their opponent, 35 minutes of possession and a few key takeaways sealed the deal. Look for them to try and repeat that against Colorado.
Colorado will be looking to bounce back and learn from the mistakes they made against TCU. After really struggling to stop the run, that will be a huge key to the game as Air Force throws the ball at the same frequency that your boss accepts your time off requests. After shuffling QBs around last week I think Colorado will have a better handle on their game plan and look for holes in an inconsistent Air Force defense.
