It may not be the battle for the Cy-Hawk trophy, but this game will get rowdy. Iowa and Iowa State are looking solid this year, Iowa may have the slight edge, but this game won’t be decided until the end.

Iowa has one of the best players in basketball right now, Kris Murray. The man is averaging 21 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game. Those 21 points are coming from an over 51% shooting percentage, which means that somehow this kid is making more than half of all the shots that he has taken so far this season. Plus, this game will be played in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and so far this season, the Hawkeyes have not lost a game there. There is a chance that this team is a little gassed after their run-in with Duke, but Kris Murray is too good.

Iowa State is by no means a worse team, though. Of these two teams, they are the ones that are currently ranked, and they have their fair share of talent. Their guard Tamin Lipsey leads the team in both assists and steals, getting it done on both ends of the court. While another member of the Cyclones’ backcourt Jaren Holmes, is leading the team in points with 14.8 while shooting 40% from three on the year. That’s not exactly a bad one-two punch. And let’s not forget champion of the people Eli King who, in his almost four minutes a game yet, hasn’t missed a shot. So that’s gotta count for something.

These are two top organizations in the basketball world, and this game will showcase that. Iowa does have the best player between these two teams, however, which will put them on top, so bet Iowa’s Moneyline to get back $150 with DraftKings!
