Kansas State is a legitimate dark horse to win the Big 12, and Missouri is the ugly girl in a hot friend group. The Wildcats dominated South Dakota with a vanilla playbook because they didn’t want to give Missouri anything to watch in preparation for this game. Adrian Martinez played well in his first game in purple, completing 11 of 15 passes for 53 yards, and at least two of his incompletions were drops. The offensive line looked stronger than Biden’s border policy, and their defense did exactly what they were supposed to do against a far less talented opponent. Missouri has been about as mediocre as an NBC sitcom for years. This year is much of the same. The offensive line is meh, the defense just gave up twenty-four points to Louisiana Tech after being the second worst in the SEC last year, and Brady Cook is just another future arena football quarterback. Their only bright spots are the college football version of Deebo Samuel in Tyler Badie and the two-headed pass-rushing monster of Trajan Jeffcoat and Isaiah McGuire.
