The New York Knicks live to fight another day as their win against the Miami Heat extends their series to a sixth game. The Heat came out firing in the first quarter of Game 5 with a 10-point lead that silenced a rowdy New York crowd. This didn’t last long as Jalen Brunson reignited the Garden with two quick assists and a 3-point play. The Knicks started to gain momentum and would get right back in it with an 18-2 run early in the second quarter. Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson put the Heat on their back as they exchanged runs with the Knicks up until the end of the second quarter. It seemed to fall apart for the Heat defensively early in the third as Jalen Brunson annihilated their defense. While they were able to come back in the fourth, this lack of stamina and defensive discipline is something that should scare Heat fans going into game 6.

The Heat got right back in it halfway through the fourth with a few clutch threes from Duncan Robinson. The Knicks were able to fend off Jimmy Butler and would come out on top with a 112-103 win over the Heat. Now they look to accomplish something they have yet to do in this series, beat the Heat in South Beach.

While the Heat definitely have the star power to win this game at home, they got manhandled by the Knicks last night and I could see that translating into Game 6. Frankly, this Game 6 might as well be a Game 7. The Heat either end the series at home or have to go into an impossible road game having lost two straight. That being said, Miami has yet to lose a home game this series, and the Knicks haven’t even come close. Erik Spoelstra has a track record of getting the job done at home, and I wouldn’t expect him to let this one slip. If the Knicks have any chance of upsetting the Heat at home it lies with Jalen Brunson. He is the X-factor for New York and he needs to step up more than ever before if they are going to push the series to a game 7. At the end of the day, the Knicks aren’t going to have the help they need from their supporting cast to pull off this win on the road. I’m predicting Jimmy Buckets and the Heat get the win at home and clinch their spot in the conference finals.

This is going to be a tight, gritty series. I can only imagine that every game is going to come down to the wire. Bet on either of these teams moneyline’s & get $150 in Bonus Bets!
