Manchester City against Tottenham Hotspurs. If you had told me a year ago that you had trouble picking a winner between these two teams, I would have called you legally insane. Their off-season acquisition of Richarlison was a stroke of brilliance, giving the team the depth to get them into the knockout rounds of the Champions League while remaining top five in the Premier League. Their Keeper Hugo Lloris helped Kylian Mbappe bring the French international team to back-to-back finals appearances in the World Cup. Tottenham’s star striker Harry Kane has also shown no signs of slowing down. He is currently second in the race for Golden Boot with 15 goals in the Premier League this season. This team has all the firepower in the world with a great shot-stopper in the net, which is why they’ve been so good this season.
However, Manchester might just be slightly better. The only reason that I would give them the edge is due to the two players City has on their team. Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland. Kevin De Bruyne is potentially the best midfielder in the world right now. The man already has 13 goal involvements in this short season, and it is so easy to see why. The way can see the field and the way he moves the ball is absolutely unmatched right now. And Manchester City gave the ultimate ball distributor the ultimate attacking threat. Erling Haaland is a cheat code. The man this season has 21 goals in just the premier league with 24 goal involvements in total. That’s in 17 matches, by the way. The man is averaging 67 minutes per goal. Those are historic numbers in a league that’s older than dirt.
