A Maryland v UCLA game will not disappoint. Two teams that have been winning when they are supposed to and always giving a good game even when they aren’t favored. Even though both of these teams have been playing well, I still like the Terrapins over the Bruins in Wednesday’s game.

UCLA has been putting together one heck of a season. So far in their ten games, they’ve only lost two, and even those two losses they do have, have come against real, ranked teams. So you can hardly blame them for losing those. However, having said all that, there are a few things that have me wary about the Bruins. The first of which is that they are currently being led in rebounds by one of their guards, Jaylen Clark, which on the one hand, is awesome because that means he’s been all over the boards, but on the other hand, has me questioning what the big men are doing. In fact, the only category that a big man is leading in on UCLA is blocked per game, so I can’t say I’m too confident in the paint presence for this team.

The Terrapins, on the other hand, have had some dominant big men. Julian Reese is leading the team in boards with 7.6 per game, while his partner in the paint, Donta Scott, has been leading Maryland in blocks per game with 1.2. Not to mention their stud guard Jahmir Young, who has been averaging 15.6 points per game along with 3.4 assists per game, leading the team in both of those categories. Plus with this team losing their last two, they will be hungry for a statement win against a good team while being in the comforts of their home.

This game will be a great one between two eight and two teams, but I think Maryland will be hungrier for the win and win the battle in the paint. Bet on Maryland’s Moneyline to get back $200 back instantly with DraftKings!
