What the Mets just did to the Washington Nationals should be illegal. Like, with all the humanitarian crises happening right now, the Mets outscoring them by twenty-three runs in a series got swept under the rug, but that’s one of the goriest beatdowns I’ve ever watched. Now I know the Dodgers are a completely different animal than the rebuilding Nationals, but LA has to be feeling a little depleted after getting swept by the Pirates. That’s a come down to Earth moment for a team that has looked, at times, unstoppable. That’s like a hot girl getting told no I will not buy you a shot of tequila by an average-looking guy at the bar.
For a team that has Francisco Lindor, Jacob Degrom, and Pete Alonso, I don’t think anyone would have predicted before opening day that Jeff McNeil would be the Mets MVP up until this point in the season. Everybody around the MLB knows McNeil as a pro’s pro, and he’s proving to everyone else that he’s worth more than three million dollars a year. The Mets will most likely be starting Taijuan Walker, Chris Bassitt, and David Peterson for the first three games of this matchup. Over his last twenty-four innings, Walker has only allowed five runs, and Bassitt has been as solid as my genitals when I sit on an airplane. Take the Mets in games one and two.
Regardless of what happens, bet $5 & get $200 back win or lose!
