What to say about Michigan v North Carolina? To start off I’m sure that this will be a hot take for many of you. But I love this Michigan team. And North Carolina has not really convinced me so far this season that this game will be a win for them. So I’m gonna roll with Michigan.
To start off, North Carolina has not been the North Carolina of old. The days in which the Tar Heels had stars like Vince Carter and Michael Jeffrey Jordan are well behind them at least right now. And that’s not to say all of their players are horrible. I mean I still love their forward Armando Bacot who has gotten himself 17.5 points per game, 11.6 rebounds per game, and 1.4 blocks per game. That’s a pretty legit double-double stat line. And their guard Caleb Love has scored himself 18.3 points per game and dished out 3.7 assists per game. So yea, this team isn’t low on good players, but they’ve just not been very impressive this season. With an 8-4 record and more losses than the Wolverines, I’m firmly on the Michigan train for this game.
Michigan, I truly believe has the best player in this game. Yea I said it. Hunter Dickinson has been killing the game this year. His stat line currently reads 19.1 points per game, 8.4 rebounds per game, and 2.0 blocks per game. He is getting it done both on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. His battle with Bacot is going to be legendary. I would also like to point out that Hunter is the Wolverine’s center and he is currently shooting 41.7% from three. Excuse me? Yes please sign me up for a guy who is 7’1”, and shoots almost 42% from three. Speaking of two-way players Michigan also has a guy by the name of Kobe Bufkin who is leading the Wolverines in assists and steals. So not only is Kobe creating shots, but he’s also preventing them, gotta love that point swing.
The Tar Heels have simply not been as good as they used to be, and Michigan has some pretty elite talent. I’d say bet on Michigan’s Moneyline to get $150 back if you pick the winner with DraftKings!
