Game Analysis:
Game one was a tough look. Despite doing just about everything he could, it never even felt like Jokic, and the Nuggets were competing against Golden State. However, I’m not closing the curtain on Denver. Not only does Denver have arguably the most unstoppable player in the world, but they also have Andrew Wiggins’ free-throw shooting abilities on their side. Jokic is a monster that cannot be contained. The key for Denver will be the play of Monte Morris and Will Barton. Denver’s opponents are, on average, shooting 34.6% from the field, but the guards will need to make a few extra stops in each game to win this series. The perimeter defense MUST improve from game one. I expect Denver to win on the glass, get second-chance points, and keep fast-break opportunities parallel with Golden State. Take the Nuggets in game two. Never bet against Jokic.
