The NBA Finals have arrived, and the storylines are going crazy. Who will be the first player to win a ring? The greatest basketball player in the world right now or Jimmy Butler? Will the Heat become the first play-in team to win a Championship? Is the NBA real or is it scripted? All viable questions and the only way to answer them will be by watching this final. The line-makers love the Joker, but they’ve loved rooting against the Heat this entire Eastern Conference run. I’d say follow your heart on this one because why not? It’s worked out for these two teams.

What to say about the Heat. Well, they beat the two teams with the best and second-best records already in these playoffs. So why not the team with the third-best record as well? Jimmy Butler didn’t even carry the Heat every single game in that Celtics series like he did against the Bucks and the Heat still won the game. Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent have emerged as genuine scoring threats that the Nuggets cannot overlook, and the Miami Heat three-ball has looked deadlier than ever. Caleb Martin in games six and seven shot over 50%, in fact in that elimination game seven he shot 11 for 16 from the field on his way to leading the team in scoring. He cannot miss right now and the Nuggets can’t afford to make the same mistakes the Celtics made and forget that these guys are all NBA players. I do still need to question where Bam is, though. I don’t know if he pre-booked his flight to Cancun, or if forgot that his job is basketball but he has been a no-show recently and that’s going to need to change against Nikola Jokic.

Alright, what to say about the Joker and the Nuggets? Well, they’ve been resting because they didn’t play with their food, they’re potentially the best team in basketball, and their number two is scoring like a number one. Did I leave anything out? Jamal Murray, if you want me to refresh your memory because the Nuggets did to the Lakers what Japan did to Pearl Harbor, has been nothing short of phenomenal. He has been averaging almost 28 points per game on 48% shooting throughout the entire playoffs. Which as a guard, who is launching threes, is nothing short of ridiculous. But then you look down the roster of this Nuggets basketball team and you realize, “Oh that’s just the Jokic effect”. The only player not shooting above 40% from the field is Jeff Green and like…even though he starts….does he really count? Oh, you asked if Jokic is still averaging a triple-double in the playoffs? Yes, yes he is. I think if Jokic was a multiple-choice question for the Miami Heat they’d stencil in a fifth answer which is just “no”.

Well, we’ve made it to the end. This is for all the marbles. Who wants it more? Join DraftKings now & get $200 back instantly!
