Alright, alright. You’ve convinced me. I guess I’ll watch the currently ranked ninth and sixth-best college football teams go head-to-head this Saturday. If I have to. Yeah, I know, no one is saying that right now. I’m so excited for this game that I’m quite literally shaking. A Notre Dame Ohio State game this early into the season must mean that it’s my birthday soon. The name of the game for this one will be can Ohio State stop Notre Dame’s electrifying rush offense? I don’t have an answer for you right now, but we’ll see this weekend.
Ohio State has looked amazing through their first three games. And they knew that going into it they would look amazing after their first three games. They’ve only had to play Indiana, Youngstown State, and Western Kentucky. Not entirely the most difficult of opponents. Still, they’ve done what they had to do in those games. They came into town, demolished the worse team, packed up, and went home. Quarterback Kyle McCord has looked great with 815 passing yards, six passing touchdowns, and only a single pick. Half of those touchdowns have been thrown to future NFL player Marvin Harrison Jr. who has looked insane so far this season for the Buckeyes. The biggest issue Ohio State will face though is that daunting Notre Dame rushing attack. Keep a lookout for linebacker duo Tommy Eichenberg and Steele Chambers to see how they handle it.
Notre Dame has not had the toughest of opponents either to Ohio State’s credit. So this will be the first real game for either of these teams. In the games that Notre Dame has played, however, as I’ve been writing about this whole time and I’m sure you’re sick of hearing, their running game is lethal. Audric Estime has already rushed for 521 yards and five touchdowns this season. All credit to him and the offensive line because that is pretty unheard of this season. Expect Notre Dame to keep pounding the rock like they have been to start the season, and Buckeye’s linebackers better come to play. Oh, and Sam Hartman casually has 1,61 passing yards and 13 touchdowns. The Buckeyes could definitely see this game getting out of hand if they don’t mentally check in from the first kick-off.
This game will be won in the trenches and both of these teams are great down there. Bet on either team’s moneyline and get your extra $200 in bonus bets.
