In the last game of each team’s regular season, Big 12 rivals West Virginia, and Oklahoma State will face off in Stillwater as the college football season comes to a close. At 4-7, the West Virginia Mountaineers are hoping to finish their season with a win against the 7-4 Cowboys. Last week, West Virginia fell to 15th ranked Kansas State, while Oklahoma State was defeated by unranked Oklahoma University. It’s been a rather disappointing season for both schools, but with no bowl game coming for West Virginia, this is a game that will likely be all or nothing for the Mountaineers. Oklahoma State has home field advantage and the better record on the season, but counting out a team with nothing to lose would be more foolish than me trusting a fart after two helpings of seconds at Thanksgiving dinner.
Last week, Oklahoma State was beaten pretty well by Oklahoma U., and if that’s any indication of where they are as a football team currently, West Virginia is looking really good. Vegas has the Cowboys -9, but WVU beat Oklahoma U. two weeks ago, and their schedule as of late has been tough, playing two ranked teams in their past four games. Oklahoma State’s schedule hasn’t been nearly as difficult, and after securing a bowl game already, there won’t be any of the same “leave it all on the field” energy that West Virginia will have.
