On Saturday night it’s a battle of 6-8 as the Las Vegas Raiders on the heels of their thrilling win against the Patriots travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. Here’s what you need to know to (responsibly) make the most out of this sweet DraftKings offer.
The Raiders have to be one of the most disappointing teams this season. Many people thought they improved in their offseason, but despite the addition of arguably the best receiver in the league, they’re significantly worse than last year. Kind of like the Nets a couple of years ago. The offense is alright, averaging 24.1 points a game on 370 yards, but the defense has been lacking more than my attendance as the semester goes on allowing 24.1 points a game. They’re a bad team in the clutch, 7 out of their 8 losses have been by a score or less. Heartbreaking stuff. That being said, the Steelers are struggling themselves and are pretty banged up. Most of their key offensive players are questionable right now, Pickett, Diontae Johnson, and Najee Harris all might not play which is a huge blow to that offense.
Now, even though the offense is banged up, the Steelers should not be too worried because their strength comes from the defense. They’re only allowing 250 passing yards a game and TJ Watt is scarier to quarterbacks than a text from a girl asking “what are we”. While a little lackluster just like you talking to women, the offense has been fine and able to put up a couple points on the board even against good teams like the Bengals, Jets, and Ravens. The Raider defense is pretty bad too, letting up almost 375 yards a game. My prediction is that this game is low scoring, but the Steelers defense is able to hold off the Raiders to allow the offense to put just enough points on the board to take defend their home turf and take the win.
I’m sticking with the home favorites on this one. Take the Steelers money-line to get your free $150 from DraftKings!
