My friend splits Thanksgiving between his parents because his Dad got caught with another woman and his Mom responded to the situation by pulling out a knife. I would still go on the record to say they share a better relationship than Aaron Rodgers does with his receivers. The Packers have no chemistry on their offense, and it’s so obvious that even my girlfriend tells me something looks wrong when they play…and she thought each team gets five points on kick-offs until two weeks ago. Green Bay has had a different combination of guys on their offensive line for almost every game, their run game has no consistency to it, and Aaron Rodgers doesn’t look like the player who dominated the league for the last decade plus. The problem? He has no confidence in his receiving core. Last week against the Titans, Rodgers was leading his receivers to balls they weren’t catching, and many of his guys clearly weren’t running their routes proficiently. Sadly for the poor bastards wearing foam cheeseheads in sub-twenty-degree weather, last week was nothing new. Rodgers’ last 300-yard game was in Week 13 of the 2021 season against the Bears. Rodgers also has the lowest QBR of his career…by a wide margin. On defense, injuries have not been kind to Green Bay. The extras from the movie Dallas Buyers Club look healthier than Green Bay’s linebackers at the moment. The absence of Inside linebackers De’Vondre Campbell (knee) has been felt, as the Pack is giving up 24.25 points per game in his four-game absence, which is way up from their season average before going into that stretch.

Things will not be getting better for the Packers anytime soon. The Eagles might not have played their best game against the Colts last weekend, but good teams win ugly and MVP quarterbacks drive their guys downfield, which is exactly what Jalen Hurts did last Sunday. For a quarterback that wasn’t seen as a franchise guy– he’s 6th in the league at 12.3 yards per attempt. Only two quarterbacks in NFL history have averaged at least 12.3 yards per completion in their career as well as one interception every 50 or more pass attempts. They are Patrick Mahomes and Hurts. And here’s a list of QBs with 45 or more TDs rushing and passing and 15 or fewer interceptions in their first 25 starts: Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, and Hurts. But as any person drunk in Xfinity Live will tell you, Hurts isn’t doing it alone. The contributions he’s gotten from his Batmen triple threat of DeVonta Smith, AJ Brown, and Quez Watkins should tell every franchise owner in the league that if you want a young quarterback to have success, you have to load him up with more weapons than a drill rapper on Instagram live. As fun as it is to talk about the Eagles throwing the ball deep against the Packers, expect a lot of Miles Sanders. The Packers field one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, a group that gives up 135.8 yards on the ground per game on average. Being that Philadelphia runs the ball more than almost any team in the league, and they average 142.5 rushing yards per game, expect to hear #26’s name all night. And on defense? Aaron Rodgers’ will face one of his toughest tests yet. There is two cornerbacks that have an opposing quarterback passer rating below 30 this year (minimum 20 targets). One is James Bradberry at 29.0. The other is Darius Slay at 14.6. Good luck, Aaron. Vegas likes the Eagles -6.5, and as bad as they’ve been in their last three games ATS, they should cover that.
