Massachusetts, the time is finally here! After watching states like New York (ew) and Ohio go legal, it’s our turn to have some responsible fun, and it couldn’t have come at a better time as Boston sports are dominating as usual. On March 10th online sports betting will go live, so if you partake, make sure to take advantage of this great welcome offer from DraftKings.
So the Blackhawks have struggled a bit this season. As of writing, they’re 22-38-6 and 8th in the Central division. They’ve been alright at home with most of their wins and less of their losses coming there, but they’re still below .500 in the United Center. Chicago had to part with Kane finally, which is sad, but it will be nice to see him play in the postseason for a few more years. The good news for the Hawks is that Hall is out, and Lindholm will be a game-time decision, two important contributors for the Bruins. The bad news is, though, the Bruins are about as deep as the Mariana Trench and have guys who will be right there to step up if the player in front of them is injured. I will say Chicago is a bit more disciplined than the unruly Bruins, staying out of the penalty box a bit more.
Now the Bruins remain the best team in the league and the odd-on favorite to end the season in possession of Lord Stanley’s Cup. They are officially the fastest team in NHL history to reach 50 wins in a season, doing it in just 65 games. The Bruins have one of the best offenses in the league, averaging 3.75 goals a game with the 2nd best faceoff win percentage and the third best shooting percentage. I mean, for goodness sake, they have a line called the Perfection Line. That’s pretty dang hard to top if you ask me. Oh, and before I forget, Boston also has the best defense in the league allowing only 2.09 goals a game. They have the best penalty kill, and Ulmark, who is expected to play in Chicago, has a 1.89 GAA with a .938 save percentage. Those are MVP numbers if Connor McDavid didn’t exist. Yeah, I’m going back to Boston on this one.
Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s a great time to be a Boston sports fan. Make sure you responsibly take advantage of our amazing teams, and be sure to sign up today with DraftKings Sportsbook to take advantage of their great promo!
