Game Analysis:

What an unreal NBA Postseason it has been. From sweeps, to game sevens, to crazy comebacks, we have been treated to high-level basketball all month. After waltzing through the East the Celtics punched their ticket in four games against the Pacers, and after five games against the Timberwolves, the Mavericks earned their spot representing the West. It should be a great series, and here is what you should know.

Man, the Mavericks really proved the haters wrong and showed why they deserve to be in the Finals. Luka and Kyrie have been fantastic, and their supporting cast has really stepped up and filled the holes in the team. They all defend really well and can stretch the floor with their shooting ability forcing opponents to guard them all over the court. Top 7 in the NBA in points per game and with a top ten offensive rating as well as a top 16 defensive rating the Mavs are well-rounded and dangerous. Luka has shown he has the hunger to win, and the storyline of Kyrie vs Boston is going to be electric. Despite being a great team the Dallas Mavericks are underdogs in the series especially after getting blown out in game one, can they overcome the odds and win their first championship since Dirk?

If you ask me I wouldn’t be so sure, the Celtics are favored in this series for good reason. Even without their star big man, the Celtics only lost two games in the Eastern Conference playoffs and just swept in the finals. Both Tatum and Brown are really proving the haters wrong, and the guard tandem of Holiday and White has also been unreal. Porzingis coming back has been huge as he looked amazing in game one, but even without him, the Celtics have a chance in these games. Pritchard and Hauser have been impactful with their minutes, and even a lot of the young guys are able to get some playoff minutes as the Celtics have been blowing other teams out of the water. I like the Celtics in this series, especially when they are at home. I think the trend started in game one will continue throughout the series as the Celtics look just too tough to stop. What do you think?
