Well, the Texans have been… interesting. Obviously, they’re in a rebuild, and while some signs have been positive, like the rookie production of Dameon Pierce, there have been a lot of negatives, like their record. Brandin Cooks, while great, needs a little help, and that defense has been letting up over 400 yards a game. Playing at NRG should prove a small advantage, but the Texans are still winless at home going into week 11. Woof. All that being said, Vegas set the line at three, which makes me think they know something that I don’t.
Now the Commanders are back in the hunt, looking to get over .500, and this should be the team to do it against. The Washington rushing attack has really been heating up, and Brian Robinson’s comeback story is incredible. The Commanders are scoring more and allowing fewer points than the Texans, letting up over 60 less yards a game defensively. While important players like Logan Thomas, Curtis Samuel, and J.D. McKissic are questionable to play, I still like the Commanders here. Scary Terry has been living up to his name and is a nightmare for defensive backs, and Taylor Heinicke looooves to let that rock fly. In a letdown spot after the upset of the year, I still like Washington. I could be wrong, but I think Taylor will be buying some red and blue victory Jordans after this one.
