Game analysis:
I have a sibling. They never watch football. In fact, they once walked into a Patriots game I was watching with my friends, saw a field goal attempt bang through the uprights, and shouted “Touchdown!”. And do you know what they told me? They told me “The Eagles are beating the Bucs on Monday”. Yeah, that’s how obvious this one is to call. Let’s not get wrapped up in Baker mania again, let’s all learn our lesson and stick with what we know. The Eagles are good and Baker Mayfield is not.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have overplayed themselves by a mile in these first two games. They got lucky as heck in the first game when Kirk Cousins forgot how to play football and the Vikings decided it would be fun to turn over the ball every play, and the Bears are the Bears. That should count as half a win, to be honest with how they’ve looked recently. And I get it, they have a pair of stud receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. They have an above-average defensive line with Vita Vea. But let’s all be honest with ourselves here. They are not beating the reigning NFC Champions anytime soon. They just don’t have the talent.
Wow, the Eagles got so bored of winning that they decided they needed to find new ways to win to keep themselves interested in games. In week one it was Kenneth Gainwell who they pounded the rock with to beat the Patriots. In week two they got to go to a new weapon in D’Andre Swift who showcased why everyone was so excited about the Eagles picking him up. They also still have their own elite pair of wide receivers in AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. And of course, their Georgia Bulldogs defense is still elite. I mean what are we even talking about, they’re the top NFC team that got better. They’re going to beat the upstart Bucs.
