Earlier this season, I would’ve been incredibly frustrated by the fact that a Thursday Night Primetime Game is being played between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. Losing four games out of their first seven, the Patriots didn’t strike anyone as a team that had any business being watched on primetime – especially against a powerhouse squad like the Bills. Then last week, we all watched Mac Jones throw for 382 yards against the (at the time) 8-2 Minnesota Vikings. The Bills, of course, are still a powerhouse team, regardless of Josh Allen dealing with a slight injury to his elbow. Sure, New England couldn’t secure the victory against Minnesota, but we saw that they wouldn’t go down easy against big teams – in fact, they have the capability to win.
Vegas likes the Bills at -4.5, which is a fair line but don’t count out the fact that the Patriots are hosting the game, it’s a divisional game, and Mac Jones is coming off the start of his career. Considering Josh Allen’s trouble with his elbow, this game could be a lot closer than one may think, but he showed last week in a down-the-field drive with under thirty seconds left in the game that injury or not, he’s still going to put a team on his back for the win. Davis and McKenzie have been complimenting the major threat of Stefon Diggs really well in recent weeks, and the New England defense is more primed to stop a run than a pass.
