Ladies and gentlemen. The 2022 NFL Primetime schedule has struck yet again with a Thursday Night Football matchup between two 2-4 NFC teams. It’s honestly astounding to me that on Monday night I had to suffer through a Broncos vs. Chargers game when the Bills and Chiefs played in the late afternoon slot on Sunday. As much as NFL fans have had to experience more disappointment in primetime games than any girl that has ever agreed to go home with me from a bar, these two teams are fairing in pretty similar directions so far in 2022, which means that we will at least be getting a somewhat close game – and hey, isn’t that what we’re looking for at the end of the day? Kyler “Toddler” Murray and the Cardinals are hosting the Saints likely led by Andy Dalton as head coach Dennis Allen has said he’s wary of throwing Jameis Winston back to the starting spot before he’s fully healthy.

Vegas likes the Cardinals this week at 1.5 points, which basically tells us nothing. The biggest story this week comes from the Cardinals camp. Marquise “Hollywood” Brown suffered an injury that’s looking to keep him out at least six weeks, and if it weren’t for the return of DeAndre Hopkins this week, I’d be shouting from the rooftops to hammer the Saints. Sure, Hopkins responded to the positive PED test like a high schooler whose mom found his Juul – “I don’t know how that got there” – but he’s been a consistently dominant force in the receiving game throughout his career. A suspension doesn’t take him out of training and staying in shape, so having him available as a target and the possibility of new acquisition from the Panthers, Robby Anderson, cutting up secondaries bodes well for the Cardinals at home. The Saints have failed to get a solid rushing game going this season, with their total yards on the ground sitting just above 900 through five weeks, and even though Andy Dalton won’t lose you a game, he’s not a enough of a difference maker to keep up with the Cardinals. Hammer a bet on the Cardinals money-line and get your free $200 from DraftKings!
