We are starting to get into crunch time. Arizona is a game behind UCLA right now in the Pac-12 and is hoping to catch them. He’s also a 6’7” guard leading the team in rebounds per game with 8. As amazing as that is for him, it does scare me that a guard is a leading rebounder for this team. Especially considering the superpower that is the Arizona frontcourt. The best big man listed for the Bruins is Adem Bona, who is 6th on the team in scoring and 3rd on the team in rebounding.
The Arizona front court is the one-two punch of all one-two punches. Names you should remember for Saturday. Azuolas Tubelis, and Oumar Ballo. These two guys are the starting center and power forward of this team, and oh my goodness, are they gross together. This duo is combining for about 34 points per game, 18 rebounds per game, and two blocks per game. And you’re telling me they’re about to play a team where their best-listed big man is 3rd in rebounding on his own team? I don’t know; that’s a tall order to ask anyone to do.
