The Cavs against the Rockets. I don’t think you need too much information from me to know that the Cavaliers are going to be sending the Rockets on a one-way trip to the number one draft pick. The Cavaliers are a team that will be sitting the postseason, while the Rockets will be looking at those little balls spin around in the cage hoping theirs come out last. The Cavs are winning this game.
The Rockets are a fun team to watch most of the time. They are young, with a very bright future ahead of them. But as of right now, this rocket is doing nothing but crash landing. I will say though I am high on both Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun. Jalen Green has been averaging 22.1 points per game and making it look easy. I’m not entirely sure that he is justifying the second overall pick he was taken at but he absolutely has been looking great. And Alperen Sengun has been a solid big-man partner for him, he obviously isn’t Victor Wembanyama but he’s only a reboundish away from averaging a triple-double per game. The defense for this team is inconsistent as heck though, and there seems to be very little all the guys are playing for. But that’s what you get when your team is incredibly young and in many aspects playing for a pick.
The Cavaliers on the other hand have been an incredibly good basketball team this whole season. They’re currently on a three-game winning streak and I don’t think this Rockets team is going to be the ones to end that run. This Cleveland team has several players entering their prime, all tuned in to winning and playing out of their minds. They have four star players that will be stars for a while longer and Houston does not have the talent to keep up. Both of Cleveland’s guards are unstoppable so it doesn’t matter which one you double-team because the other will beat you. Not to mention that both Evan Mobley and Jarret Allen are averaging over 9 rebounds per game, and over a block per game. I mean that’s just unfair when a team can beat you up top and below.
