It has been a rough season for the Dolphins. They lost their starting quarterback Tua Tagoviloa early in the season after a head injury. As a result their offense suffered and they are now in third place in the AFC East with a record of 2-6. However, they statistically still have a shot at qualifying for an AFC Wild Card game and Tua has returned from injury. But if they want to still have a serious shot at a postseason berth it will start against a red-hot Los Angeles Rams squad.
The Rams also had a slow start to the 2024 season. They started the year with a 1-4 record through five games and seemed to be trending toward another disappointing season. But with the help of their starting quarterback Matthew Stafford the Rams have caught fire in the second half of the season as they come into their matchup with the Dolphins riding a three-game winning streak including statement wins over the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks. They now sit in second place in the NFC West with a 4-4 record and a very real shot at the postseason. But with the NFL season winding down, they cannot afford many more losses which makes their matchup with Miami an important one.
So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
