Pittsburgh Steelers v Kansas City Chiefs

Fans are in for another treat on Monday Night Football. As it features a goodie between two of the highest-scoring offenses in the NFL. The New Orleans Saints will travel to Kansas City to take on the defending Super Bowl Champion Chiefs.

The Saints started the season as one of the most surprising teams in the NFL. Especially after trouncing the uber-talented Dallas Cowboys 44-19. But after a 2-0 start to the year, the Saints have dropped their last two games. To make things even worse their losses have been to two subpar teams in Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. The Saints will look to the veteran leadership of their starting quarterback Derek Carr to turn this ship around. But his play will need to improve by leaps and bounds. In the Saints’ last two outings, he has thrown just one touchdown and two interceptions.

For the Kansas City Chiefs, they have picked up right where they left off in the Super Bowl. They are just one of two remaining undefeated teams in the NFL as they sit at 4-0 along with the Minnesota Vikings. But despite a flawless start to the season for the Chiefs, their usual suspects haven’t been as dominant. Their starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown for just six touchdowns. That would put him on pace to throw 24 touchdowns on the year. If that happens it would be the first time in Mahomes’ career that his touchdown numbers have declined in consecutive seasons.

Both teams have a lot to prove in the Monday Night Football matchup. But it is the Saints who need the win more. Dropping to 2-3 in the division with the Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers both beginning to hit their stride could spell trouble for New Orleans as this season approaches the midpoint.

So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
