It’s time to get HYPED football fans! Believe it or not, the NFL is officially at the midway point as we have reached Week 9 of the NFL season. With the season preparing to enter crunch time, every win and loss matters more with teams preparing to enter the playoff hunt. One of this week’s most anticipated showdowns is the Detroit Lions vs. the Green Bay Packers in what should be a highly entertaining NFC North Showdown.

The Detroit Lions had a bitter ending to last season, losing in the NFC Championship game to the San Francisco 49ers after holding a double-digit lead. But they have turned that pain into prowess, once again proving to be one of the NFL’s most elite teams. They handed the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the year, earlier this season. They have also scored impressive victories over the Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Dallas Cowboys.

The Green Bay Packers have been equally impressive this season. Sitting with a record of 6-2, and second place in the NFC North. And they have knocked a string of noteworthy opponents this season as well, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and Arizona Cardinals.

It’s safe to say that this head-to-head matchup will be each team’s toughest test of the season. And with the Lions and Packers sitting at first and second in the NFC North respectively, it’s not an exaggeration to say this is a must-win game for both squads.

The Packers will be at a disadvantage in this matchup, with their starting quarterback, Jordan Love, sidelined with an injury. But his backup quarterback Malik Willis, led them to victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars after he was sidelined in the second half.

So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
