It’s time to get HYPED football fans! Believe it or not, the NFL is officially past the midway point as we have reached Week 10 of the NFL season. With the season preparing to enter crunch time, every win and loss matters more with teams preparing to enter the playoff hunt. One of this week’s most anticipated showdowns will take place on Thursday Night Football when the Baltimore Ravens take on the Cincinnati Bengals in what should be a highly entertaining AFC North Showdown.
Things looked shaky after starting the season with back-to-back losses to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders. But since their 0-2 start, the Ravens turned on the gas and never looked back, and are now winners of five of their last six games and sit atop the AFC North at 6-3. And it is not just that the Ravens are winning — they are DOMINATING. Their offense is putting up 30.3 points per game this season, which is second in the NFL behind the Detroit Lions. But with the defending Super Bowl Champion Chiefs standing alone with the only unblemished record the Ravens still have their work cut out for them. Especially if they want to secure home-field advantage in the playoffs.
Things haven’t gone quite as well for the Bengals this season. They had high hopes for this season with a healthy Joe Burrow under center but things haven’t shaken out that way. They are currently in third place in the AFC North with a 4-5 record. The playoffs aren’t completely out of reach with them being just a game under .500. But if they are going to make it to the postseason, the road there won’t be easy. Three of their next four will come against teams who made the playoffs last season.
