Week 7 of the NFL season is officially here! That means we are getting closer to the NFL postseason, and games are starting to matter more and more each week! Week 7 of the season will begin with a Thursday Night Football clash between two squads that could really use a win. The New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos will do battle to kick off the week.

The Broncos started the season how many expected them to. Lethargic and devoid of a winning record. But after starting the season off with three consecutive losses, the Broncos have rediscovered their winning ways with two big dubs over the New York Jets and Denver Broncos. A lot of that has to do with the much-improved play of their starting quarterback, Bo Nix. In the Broncos’ first three games, Nix had not registered a touchdown pass and threw three interceptions. But the rookie quarterback has quite literally flipped the switch. In his last two games, he has registered three touchdown passes and three interceptions. It will be interesting to see if he can keep up his hot streak against the New Orleans defense.

For the New Orleans Saints, the season has gone quite the opposite of the Broncos. They shocked everyone when they started off the season 2-0. Especially after their 44-point performance against the Dallas Cowboys. But since their hot start, the Saints have begun to trend downward. They have lost three consecutive games and are now 3rd place in the NFC South. To make matters even worse, New Orleans just lost their starting quarterback Derek Carr, who was a huge reason for their 2-0 start. Carr suffered an oblique injury during their Week 5 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs and will miss an extended period. It will be interesting to see how his team responds to adversity.
