It’s time to get HYPED football fans! Can you believe the NFL is officially at the midway point? We have reached Week 9 of the NFL season. With the season beginning to wind down, every win and loss matters more with teams preparing to enter the playoff hunt. One of this week’s most anticipated showdowns is the Minnesota Vikings vs. the Indianapolis Colts in what should be a highly entertaining matchup.
The Indianapolis Colts will have a new look when they take the field on Sunday afternoon. After a rough start to the season, Colts head coach Shane Steichen decided to bench second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson. It was a decision that surprised many but the Colts have been unable to gain any traction in the AFC South division with Richardson under center. And sitting at 4-4 on the year, the Colts season is still salvageable as a AFC Wild Card berth is not completely out of reach. Steichen will now put the ball in the hands of veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to lead them moving forward.
The Minnesota Vikings are also looking to get back on the winning track this season. After starting the season a scorching 5-0, the Vikings have dropped back-to-back games against the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams. A record of 5-2 would normally be sufficient enough to have at least a shot of winning the division. But the NFC North has proven to be the toughest division in the league this year. And that 5-2 record has them sitting in third place heading into November. That makes a win for the Vikings on Sunday, that much more important.
So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it
