The Chargers have finally made it to the postseason with Justin Herbert, and that could be unfortunate for their opponents. With the addition of star rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey, the Chargers have become on of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL. Their 23.6 point per game averaged makes them the 11th highest scoring offense in the NFL. However, as dangerous as the Chargers’ offense is, their defense is even more dangerous. They have the NFL’s top scoring defense with 17.7 points per game.
The Houston Texans have dealt with a plethora of injuries this season. Both of their star receivers Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs were lost for the season early on in the year. That means they will rely heavily on their star receiver Nico Collins heavily in their matchup against the Chargers. But that could also be difficult considering the recent struggles of their starting quarterback C.J. Stroud, who has thrown three interceptions in his last three games.
The Chargers come into this Wild Card matchup as slight favorites by a 2.5-point margin over the Texans. The over/under is marked at 42.5 points.
So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
