The Dallas Cowboys had a chance to add some real juice to their playoff push in Week 13. A win over the Cincinnati Bengals would have pushed them to 6-7 on the season. But unfortunately, they couldn’t pull off the victory and now have a record of 5-8 on the year. Although things look pretty bleak for the Cowboys moving forward, they have not officially been eliminated from the playoffs yet. And although their playoff chances may look grim, it would still benefit them to end this year on a high note, to give themselves something to build on for 2025.
2024 has been a roller coaster season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They were one of just a handful of teams to start the season with a 2-0 record. But their roster has been rocked by a slew of injuries to key players this season. And they now have a record of 7-6 but still sit atop the NFC South division. But even though Tampa is leading their division, it isn’t the time for them to get relaxed. The NFC South has been one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL this season and the 5-8 New Orleans Saints and 6-7 Atlanta Falcons are still alive in the race to capture the division crown.
So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
