For a team playing in a division that is as loaded as the SEC, the Ole Miss Rebels faired pretty well in 2024. Despite with just a 5-3 record in conference play, the Rebels finished with a record of 9-3 overall with an impressive home record of 6-1. Ole Miss will look to their standout wide receiver Tre Harris in this matchup. Harris closed out the regular season with 63 receptions for 1,063 yards and 7 touchdowns on the year.

The Duke Blue Devils finished outside of the top five in the ACC landing in 7th place. They had an overall record of 9-3 on the season. However, their 5-3 record in conference play left a lot to be desired this season. Beating a much tougher Rebels team will be tough for Duke, so they’ll need big performances from standout wide receiver Eli Pancol and Jordan Moore, who combined for 16 touchdowns this season.

The oddsmakers are not giving the Blue Devils much of a chance in this one. Ole Miss comes in as the heavy favorites in this matchup by a whopping 17.5-point margin over Duke. Oddsmakers also believe that this matchup will be a high-scoring affair with the over/under marked at 51.5 points.

So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
