Folks, I need to have an honest conversation with you right now. This is not the 2022 Warriors. In fact, this team is nowhere near the 2022 Warriors. The Grizzlies-Warriors game is going to get ugly. The Grizzlies may win by a million.
This Warriors team is statistically, pretty awful. When you consider their payroll, and what they did last season this team is kinda horrific. In the Warrior’s past nine games they have two wins and seven losses. So that’s not great. And to make matters worse their last two losses have been by 38 points, and by 30 points. What that tells me is that this bad team is trending toward being even worse. Which I guess makes sense when your best player by a mile is out. When Steph was healthy he was scoring 30 points per game with 6.8 assists per game to add to it. He was looking like he wasn’t missing a beat from last year’s playoffs. But he isn’t playing right now, and the players the Warriors have left are either too old or too young. The chemistry from last season is gone, and I just don’t see anything going right for them right now.
The Grizzlies on the other hand are looking great. In their past nine games, they’ve done the opposite of what the Warriors have done. They went seven and two. Which I would say is a pretty good run of games. Ja Morant has been looking amazing, scoring 27 points per game, dishing out 7.8 assists per game, and grabbing 1.1 steals per game. So yea Ja is still looking like an MVP. And Steven Adams is still dominating down low for the Grizzlies with 10.2 rebounds per game, and 1.2 blocks per game. I would not want to enter his paint I’ll tell you that much.
