When the Bears drafted Caleb Williams out of USC with the number one pick, many considered it a move that would forever change their recent string of bad luck. But so far that wish has not come to fruition. Williams and the Bears have struggled mightily this season. Coming into Week 15 they are dead last in the NFC North Division with a record of 4-9 on the season. With the playoffs being out of reach for Williams and the Bears they are searching for any type of motivation to help them finish the season on a positive note. A matchup against a divisional opponent may be just what the doctor ordered.
The Detroit Lions have been all of the hoopla this season. But the Minnesota Vikings have gone toe-to-toe with them all season, in the same division nonetheless. Sam Darnold is having an MVP-caliber season and has the Vikings primed for a deep playoff run with a record of 11-2 on the season. Despite the Lions’ dominance, the Vikings still have the opportunity to become NFC North champs. But they cannot afford any missteps competing with division-leading Detroit who has reeled off 11 straight wins, making each game from here on out a must-win for Minnesota.
So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
