The Lions have been among the best teams in the NFL this season. And it’s becoming more and more likely that they will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this season. Their offense had been hands down the best in the league the season. And they are not only winning, but they are dominating their opponents. They have scored 40 or more points in three of their last five games and have scored at least 20 points in 10 of their 11 games. Their defense has also been a force to be reckoned with. Especially after the addition of star defensive lineman Za’Darius Smith at the trade deadline. The stage has been set for the Lions to make some noise in the postseason. It will be interesting to see how far they go.
The Bears have not had as great of the season, despite having the number one pick in last years draft. After their loss to the Minnesota Vikings last week, the Bears have now lost five straight games and are looking for something, anything to get them trending in the right direction. The Bears are not in any position to win their division and they can probably kiss the playoffs goodbye. But when it comes to NFC North rivalries their is no such thing as a meaningless game. You can bet they will be looking to spoil the Lions Thanksgiving.
With things tight at the top of the division with the Packers, Vikings, and Detroit Lions being separated by just two games, the stakes could not be any higher for this Thanksgiving Day clash.
