This weekend the Louisville Cardinals will be travelling down to Florida to visit the UCF Knights at FBC Mortgage Stadium. Louisville will be looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Syracuse while the Knights are looking to build on a great game against the South Carolina State Bulldogs.
UCF’s QB had a fantastic performance last weekend. Over 300 yard through the air with four touchdowns coupled with 86 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. Louisville struggled defensively early, allowing three scores on the first three drives, but after that they seemed to hit more of a rhythm. That might be as good as it can get for Louisville, and I think the Knights will be able to pick that defense apart. I like John Rhys Plumlee over 54.5 yards on the ground and Javon Baker over 69.5 receiving yards. As Plumlee’s top target Baker should get a lot of looks and be able to capitalize on them.
On the other side we have a Louisville team who really struggled to get anything going last weekend. Too many run plays and not enough momentum led to an offense that had a tough time moving the ball, and while they might improve a bit I think UCF will really be able to take advantage of the flaws in that Cardinals team. I don’t think Malik Cunningham will be effective, and I think there’s some value in under 5.5 receptions for Tyler Hudson and under 19.0 for Cunningham’s fantasy score.
