Texans +1200

Let’s get weird. Houston is very quietly the hottest team in the league right now, ending the season 12-5 despite a 2-3 start. What many do not realize is that the Texans’ defense might even be better than the Broncos’. One of the best front fours in football, paired with an almost equally elite secondary, makes playcalling a game of roulette against Houston. In a year as strange as this, I will stick with teams whose defense has delivered all year long.

Worst Super Bowl value bets:

Eagles +950

In 2024, Philadelphia had one of the greatest rosters in NFL history and one of the most dominant Super Bowl wins to match. But this is not last year’s team, and it has become clear that Jalen Hurts went on a Trent Dilfer type of run. The real pain is the departure of Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator. Eagles fans would be the first to tell you that Kevin Patullo is not a good coordinator. At +800, the juice is not worth the squeeze. Fade Philly.

Bears +2500

This, my friends, is what we call a rat line. How can the NFC’s number two seed have the fifth worst odds of 14 teams to win it all? Because the Bears really have not been that good this year. There are a handful of games against bad teams like Dallas, Vegas, Washington, and New York where Chicago just squeaked by. Moreover, the Bears did not play exceptionally well against teams in the playoffs or on the bubble. They dropped both games to Detroit and probably should have dropped both against Green Bay if not for a lucky onside kick recovery. Do not hate me, Bears fans. This team will be a legitimate contender next year, but for now I see them getting bounced at home by the Packers on Wild Card weekend.
