Week 8 is in the books and the NFL continues to enjoy one of its more unpredictable seasons. The Dolphins dismantled the Falcons, who turned once again to Kirk Cousins with Penix out with injury. The Jets got their first win of the year in a nail biter in Cincinnati, completing the circle of parity. And in Pittsburgh Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers got a crack at his old team, but the Packers offense was too much for them in the end, ruining his hopes for revenge.

Here are the matchups to watch in Week 9:

Colts (-180) at Steelers (+3.5)
Like it or not, the Colts are the story of the NFL right now. Daniel Jones looks every bit of what the Giants had hoped he would be, Jonathan Taylor might be the MVP right now, and the defense has been explosive. They now clash with their first playoff worthy team since they lost to the Rams several weeks ago. If Rodgers the Steelers want to win, they will have to convert more of their red zone opportunities into touchdowns.

Broncos (+1.5) at Texans (-122)
Perhaps no game has more playoff implications than this one as both Houston and Denver look to be playing football in January. The Broncos come off of a blowout win against Dallas, but it doesn’t hit home the way one might think considering the Cowboys defensive struggles. The Texans come off the bye at 3-4, and even though they are playing better the limited number of games left means this matchup has to end in a W.

Chiefs (-155) at Bills (+1.5)

There is no doubt the Allen- Mahomes rematch is the game of the week. The Bills still look dominant, even though they dropped a Monday nighter to Atlanta a few weeks back. They’d be all but a lock to win the East if New England didn’t have such a soft schedule. The Chiefs, much to everyone’s chagrin, look all the bit like their superbowl winning selves again, coming off of a 3-1 October and bouncing right back into the playoff picture.
