Week 5 of football brings some exciting games to the table. For this matchup I’m not sure if this game will be exciting for Iowa State fans. Oklahoma is ranked 14th in the nation after the first 4 weeks and Iowa state is not ranked at all. Iowa State is currently 2-2 while Oklahoma is undefeated at 4-0. The Sooners atmosphere at home is like no other.
Iowa State is definitely the underdog in this matchup especially since they haven’t had the best start to the season and will be playing in Oklahoma. Last week Iowa State faced Oklahoma State and came out with a win 34-27. Their quarterback, Rocco Becht, had an amazing game. Becht went 27/38 on completions, with 348 yards and 3 touchdowns. Incredible game from the kid along with receiver Jaylin Noel going off in this game too. Noel had 149 receiving yards with 8 receptions and 1 touchdown. Daniel Jackson also had a good game with 2 touchdowns and 90 receiving yards.
Despite Iowa State coming off of a win, Oklahoma is a much better team and they are ranked 14th. Oklahoma just overall has such a better program and they always have. Last week the Sooners beat Cincinnati 20-6. Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel, had an incredible game with going 26/38 in passing attempts, 322 passing yards and 1 touchdown. Andrel Anthony also had a game with 7 receptions and 117 receiving yards. This game will be in Oklahoma’s favor.
Coming into week 5, Oklahoma is looking to stay undefeated and being 5-0 after this game. Don’t count Iowa State out quite yet because there are always upsets. I don’t think that Iowa State will upset a historic organization and team like Oklahoma.
