Good Politics: New York Governor Allows Bars And Restaurants To Serve Alcohol Early

The #1 rule of this website is to not get political. So naturally I am going to get political, but not in the way you think I am. The political landscape in this country is the most harsh and toxic I have seen in my 21 years on this Earth, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have good stories every once in a while.

The Governor of New York, Mrs. Kathy Hochul, is the people’s champion this weekend by allowing bars and restaurants to obtain “special permits” to serve alcohol at 8 AM due to the Bills taking on the Jaguars in London. The game kicks off at 9:30 AM EST.

If I am being 100% honest, I never knew there was a law restraining people from drinking in this country, I thought this was America after all. Maybe it is a New York thing, but in California, you can start ordering booze at dawn. Regardless if you’re Republican or Democrat, this is a bipartisan bending of the rule that everyone can get behind. If you’re against this rule, you probably hate freedom and guns.

If we’re in the trust tree, do we really think that Bills fans need to start drinking earlier than they normally do? They are the one fanbase that doesn’t need any more excuses to get drunk, they already live in Buffalo, New York.

Either way, thank you Governor Kathy Hochul! We will remember this when you’re up for re-election.
