Derrick Henry’s Out, and Fantasy Season is Over

Fantasy football managers across the world are crying pretty hard right now. I’m one of them. In yesterday’s game against the Colts he suffered an injury at some point in the game, which he played through for the rest of the Titans’ overtime win.

Today reports came out that told all of us who have him in fantasy and everyone who roots for the Titans that the season is essentially over. There’s no timeline on his return, but apparently he’s going to have a surgery for whatever he did to mess up his foot.

The Titans signed Adrian Peterson and according to Schefter, they plan to add him to the active roster, which means he’s a great option for a fantasy pickup. As well as Peterson, Jeremy McNichols is another guy that you should look at to pick up, as he is going to most likely take a solid number of snaps for the Titans.

It’s a real blow overall to the Titans as a team, though. Their 6-2 record put them way at the top of their division, and with Tannehill finally starting to connect with A.J. Brown on top of Derrick Henry being the best running back in the league, their playoff chances were looking more than promising. There is still a possibility that he could come back, but it doesn’t look good.
