This is heartbreaking to watch. Day in, day out, this team continues to push me to take a bath with my favorite electric kitchen appliance. This team was the BEST in baseball, for a LONG time. Going into the all star break, this yankees squad was the leader in World Series odds by a LANDSLIDE. What happened?
Besides Aaron Judge, who’s sent more objects into orbit this season than the entire space race combined, this team is more bipolar than that crazy ex girlfriend you dated for a few months in high school. In what universe do you have Josh Donaldson (batting .222 currently) in a consistent 3-6 spot? Like, are you high? I have mixed feelings about Aaron Boone, considering he backs the boys and is clearly very passionate about the ball club. Sometimes though, he’s just a fucking idiot. He has piss poor bullpen management, and has zero ability to come up big in high pressure situations. Essentially, one of the biggest choke jobs in sports coaching. Period.
Lastly, the inability to recognize the young talent in our farm system is fuckin abysmal. Highly regarded talents like Oswaldo Cabrera and Oswald Peraza spent WAY too much time in the farm system. Oswaldo Cabrera has already proved himself to be one of the better utility players in the league. Peraza was called up today, and he isn’t in the lineup. Why? Beats the shit out of me!
To sum this all up, the Yankees are a shitshow right now, and it makes me really sad. Please do better, sincerely, a Yankee fan since birth.
