Employment options for students
Jobs for students must be something that is profitable and does not harm their education. It is unlikely that full-time work is worth looking into, since it takes a lot of energy and time to attend classes at the university. The best options for students are flexible hours, part time jobs for students, weekend or second shift work.
Gone are the days when a courier's job was called running for a penny. Today, it is a popular and well paid job. There are open positions in restaurants, cafes, offices. But the most attractive conditions are offered by delivery services. The work of couriers is organised as follows:

You decide in advance how many days a week you are comfortable working. In order to apply for the position, you just have to go to the office of the company, send your CV to the employer or fill in an application form directly in the shop. In some cases you will also have to take a written test. If you are suitable, you will receive a call. There are always open positions in such companies. Two factors contribute to this: turnover, network expansion and the opening of new outlets.
A plus for the student is that in cinemas and theatres the work is usually on the second shift from 17.00 to 21.30. How do you get home at such a late hour? There is a service vehicle that takes staff home. You can also work at weekends from morning to evening. When you apply for a position, you'll get a free pass to see plays and movies.
A good job for a student is a telephone dispatcher. You don't need any special knowledge or skills to get a job. Employers give preference to candidates with good diction, responsible, punctual. Your job is to answer incoming calls, give advice to potential customers, tell them about a product or service and make appointments. Assistant positions are available in customer service, health centre, shops, beauty salon and similar fields.

Based on our experience, we can definitely say that it is unlikely that a student should consider a part-time job before his second year. During the first year, the student must adapt to the new life and studies at university, which differs from those at school drastically. You need to find a common language with your classmates and lecturers, and time to actively participate in student life.
When considering options for part-time work, you should first decide on your own motives for employment. Is it for the money or to gain experience for your future profession? If money comes first, then it could be any job that meets a young person's salary expectations. For example, office management or administrative positions with flexible hours, various service positions and temporary project work. Here, it is appropriate to contact the structures of higher education institutions that supervise the employment of their students.
If the future work should correspond to the profession obtained, then it is advisable to consider various internship positions in state organisations or commercial companies. Do not be afraid to ask the dean's office about opportunities to acquire additional skills and knowledge. However, in this case, you should be prepared for the fact that the payment for such internships is usually low. Still, such work allows you to acquire the necessary professional skills and experience, and then already by the graduation year you will be at least a good specialist, at most a person with a good job and a higher salary than graduates without any experience. Alternatively, you might even get an invitation to a prestigious job upon graduation.
