Jason Bourne (2016)

Another attempt to reanimate the history that died in the bose and buried with honors, and again unsuccessful. For some reason, director Paul Greengrass decided that if Matt Damon's flabby and worn-out face was returned to the franchise, it would suddenly sparkle with new and fresh colors. Not a fig like that! What a lion can do, a dog can't do, and Damon-no matter how much you dream-will never become a second Tom Cruise. Another person in his place would have long ago resigned himself and calmly switched to villains and scoundrels, which, by the way, Matt turns out much better (see Martin Scorsese's "Apostates"), and in general, who in their right mind and good memory will want to become Tom Cruise, but the wrong one was attacked, according to Soap 2day.

Movie reviews Jason Bourne, Grudge Match and Independence Day: Resurgence from Soap2Day

Stubborn, like all Bostonians, Damon, it seems, will try to pass himself off as the last American hero until his retirement, whose proud profile in the final credits should always show off against the background of the star-spangled banner flying in the wind. In fact, we have a plot sucked out of our fingers, not too convincing acting, but at the same time a sufficient amount of box office receipts to doom us to another, or even two films about the ill-fated sclerotic agent... And when will Hollywood directors realize that only XXX films can boast of truly successful fifth, sixth and tenth films in the series?

Grudge Match (2013)

An old-timer comedy with Robert De Niro, but this time about boxing. Thirty years ago, Billy The Kid Mcdonnen (De Niro) and Henry Razor Sharp (Stallone) had to come together in the ring to find out once and for all the eternal male question: who has the longest. However, just a few days before the fight, Sharp unexpectedly announced the termination of his career. The pipisko meter purchased specially for the battle remained gathering dust somewhere near the ropes. Mcdennon has since started his own pub, and periodically entertains guests in it with silly stories and jokes, and Sharpe (in the best traditions of all the heroes of Sly) gets a job at a factory, either as a steelworker or some other proletarian. And today, three decades later, the boxers want to bring back to the ring for a rematch. Along the way, each of them will have to deal with their own cockroaches: Sharpe will find out why his then-fiancee (Kim Basinger) slept with Mcdonenn, and the Kid himself will have to get acquainted with his son BJ (from the word "blowjob"), who will agree to train his dad. In general, films about boxing and Sly are like the Kid and Carlson or the particle-wave theory of light, so there was no doubt about the success of this event. A good comedy, with a lot of small references to "Rocky", the enchanting De Niro and Stallone not far behind him.

Independence Day: Resurgence (2016)

Restarts of film franchises are akin to reunions of famous bands. Sometimes it turns out to be really good when the seemingly long-lost chemistry between the original members of the band suddenly begins to work with renewed vigor, and such reunions get not only successful tours, but even good new songs. However, just as often such attempts turn out to be completely fruitless and do not cause the public anything but irritation and disappointment. Unfortunately, the battle flotilla of the new "Independence Day" landed in this second category. It's hard to say exactly what went wrong, but neither the participation of Goldblum, once nicknamed Mr. Blockbuster, nor the female president, a gay couple and Asians with African Americans in the foreground, nor expensive and spectacular special effects, nor even Thor's younger brother in the title role, which have already become mandatory in politically correct Hollywood, saved the picture. Instead of a fascinating disaster film about the selfless struggle of "ours" with "theirs", a tedious plastic gum with cardboard characters turned out, which for some reason I absolutely do not want to empathize with. Worse, I remember, was only "2012" with John Cusack and eugenic ideas in the best traditions of Dr. Goebbels. But on https://soap2day-1.day/ judging by the ending, the authors seriously intended to continue milking this alien udder further...
