Lets gooooooooo! March Madness is finally here, and it’s time to get hyped! Now, this should be part of the blog where I talk about how miracles are real and Cinderella stories are amazing, but there’s no sense in getting anyone’s hopes up. Virginia is such a better team than Furman. Maybe there will be a Cinderella story this tourney, but I can tell you it won’t be here. Virginia wins this game easily.

Furman has been a good team but in their own lane. They’re 27 and 7, but while playing one, potentially two teams that will be in March Madness. I don’t want to be out here dissing Conferences, but we have to be realistic. Virginia has been playing in much better competition than Furman. I will give Furman credit, though, they did win their Conference, and they never played down to competition. So they clearly deserve to be in this tournament. Mike Bothwell, a starting guard for this team, has been a man on a mission offensively. He’s been averaging 18.0 points per game on about 52% shooting from the field, which is absolutely insane. Especially considering he’s not a big man whose every shot comes from the low block.

I don’t really know if anyone needs me to say this, but Virginia is hands down a better team than Furman. There’s a reason that they’re a four-seed in this tournament. While they may have lost in the Championship game in the ACC, they have been playing and beating tournament-level teams all season. They’ve gone 25 and 7 beating teams like Baylor, Duke, and UMiami. Not to mention the level of talent on this team. They’ve got guards like Kihei Clark and Reece Beekman, both with over 5 assists per game and over a steal per game. Gotta love having not one but two pass-first, great-scoring, and defensive guards. Top to bottom, this Cavaliers roster is just so much better than the Paladins.

The Virginia Cavaliers will win this game. The talent isn’t close, the competition isn’t close, and the seeding reflects that. Bet on Virginia’s moneyline and get your extra $200 in bonus bets.
