The Suns against the Nuggets. What’s not to love about that matchup? Both teams sit within the top five of the western conference and are both gunning to have home-court advantage in the playoffs come the end of the season. This is a game that is absolutely up for grabs although, I currently give the Nuggets a slight edge.

The Pheonix suns have been playing absolutely phenomenal basketball. Devin Booker continues to make his case for league MVP with 28 points per game, 5.8 assists per game, and almost a steal a game. Those are some pretty cracked stats. Plus he’s got what feels like some of the coldest games of the season. Do y’all remember a few nights ago when he shot 60% from the field on his way to scoring 58 points against the Pels? Or the night he scored 51 points on a ridiculous 80% from the field against the Bulls? I mean Booker has been an absolute animal so far this season. And it’s not like he’s alone on the court out there. His surrounding cast is Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, and Chris Paul. That is already a great starting five no matter who the fifth man in that rotation is.

However, the Nuggets I think might just be a little bit better. Nikola Jokic also happens to be trying his best to make a case for MVP. He is leading his team in every single stat except for blocks at the moment with 24.9 points per game, 10.9 rebounds per game, 9.2 assists per game, and 1.5 steals per game. What the heck. And again, like Devin Booker, his team is also really good. Jamal Murray is having a great comeback season averaging almost 18 points per game, and around 6 assists per game. And Aaron Gordon is only averaging a point less than Murray, while also getting about a block per game.

Both of these teams are great. Both of these teams have the chance to go deep into the playoffs, but I think Jokic and the Nuggets win on Christmas day. So take the Nuggets money-line as your risk free bet from FanDuel!
