Antonio Brown has broken his silence, in a BIG WAY. The receiver who made headlines for what appeared to be a tirade quitting on his team is now giving the world the receipts.
Brown went to social media and released a series of texts between he and Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians, which made it pretty obvious that Arians knew about his ankle injury.
ARIANS: “This is BA. Make sure your ready to go tomorrow. We ARE NOT resting for the playoffs. Call me.”
BROWN: “I’m all in coach really caint get to full speed I wanna win wanna be there if I wake up tomorrow feel better I’ll be ready kinda rolled it outside on 2pt play I want what’s best for team lmk when your free I’ll call u.”
ARIANS: “Come see me in the morning. We’ll talk it out. Definitely want you with us in case you’re ready.”
Brown also released a statement Wednesday, through his agent Sean Burstyn, detailing his side of what happened before he exited MetLife Stadium shirtless during the game.
In short, Brown said he had an MRI done outside the Tampa Bay organization that revealed ligaments torn from the bone and cartilage loss, which will require surgery.
If that is true, he should probably release those images too. It would be check… mate… against the Bucs.
This is going to only get better.
